The installation to a new BMC Professional 518, with a spacious double cab, was at the request of one of their customers who also asked if it was possible to complete the truck in time for the Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC Birmingham. A tall order for TRS but with an offer from BMC for the truck to be painted at their UK headquarters in Coventry TRS were able to complete with three days to go.

The full width folding ramp, operated by electro/hydraulic power pack unfolds through a static cable system. There is also an adjustable towing bracket, and an 8,000lb (3,620 kgs) electric winch with cable remote control. Transportation and Recovery Systems Ltd of Fishponds Bristol, has gained a reputation for supplying and installing quality Slideback systems to suit most chassis over 5 tonnes GVW. Their TRS350 is the most popular, manufactured to suit 7.5 tonne to 10 tonne GVW chassis cabs. However all of the TRS range of Slidebacks have been designed for ease of installation which makes it ideal to sell in kit form. Other products available in kit form include:- The business end of the Spectacle Lifts, both Swan Neck and Low Lift systems, also available with body pods or panels if required. Heavy Underlifts set on a chassis subframe with all hydraulic pipework, control valves, filters and rams in place ready to install onto a chassis and pipe up to a PTO/Pump. Options include overhead Winching Boom with 180 degree swivelling Fairleads, Winch Mounting Plates and Winch Back Shackles.
